Privacy Policy
The short version: we don't collect anything. Our games have no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and they make no network connections of their own. Everything you do in the game stays on your device.
1. Who we are
Portside Games ("we", "us") develops and publishes single-player games for Apple platforms. You can reach us at support@portsideshirts.com.
2. Personal information we collect
None. Our games do not ask for, collect, transmit or store any personal information. Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Account credentials — there are no accounts to create or sign in to
- Location data
- Contacts, photos, calendars, microphone or camera data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA) or any other device identifier
- Usage analytics, telemetry, heat maps or session recordings
- Crash reports sent to us directly
We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising, attribution or crash-reporting SDKs. There is no such code in our apps.
3. Information stored on your device
The game saves a small amount of information locally so it can remember where you were. This never leaves your device, is never transmitted to us, and we cannot see it. It includes:
- Your settings (animation speed, screen shake, damage numbers, haptics, sound)
- Your run journal — a record of your most recent runs, including class, seed, depth reached, turns, kills, gold and cause of death
- Which achievements you've earned
- A save of any run currently in progress
Deleting the app removes all of it. This data may also be included in device backups you choose to make through iCloud, Finder or iTunes — those backups are controlled by you and by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy, not by us.
4. Game Center
Our games can report achievement progress to Apple's Game Center. This is optional: if you are not signed in to Game Center, or you turn it off, the game works normally and keeps tracking your achievements locally.
If you are signed in, Apple handles the Game Center connection. Your Game Center identity and any data associated with it are collected and processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive your name, nickname, email address or Apple Account information from Game Center, and we do not store anything Game Center returns. You can sign out at any time in the Settings app under Game Center.
5. Network connections
Aside from Game Center, our games make no network requests. They are fully playable with no internet connection and in Airplane Mode. There are no servers of ours for the game to talk to.
6. Information Apple gives us
We distribute through the App Store. Apple provides us with aggregated, anonymised reporting in App Store Connect — such as total download and sales figures, and app performance and crash statistics — which we use to understand how the game is doing and to fix bugs.
This reporting does not identify individual users to us. Whether your device contributes diagnostic data is a choice you control in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. If you leave a public App Store review, that review is visible to us and to everyone else, under Apple's terms.
7. Children's privacy
We collect no personal information from anyone, including children. Our games contain no advertising, no in-app purchases, no chat, no user-generated content and no social features. Because we collect nothing, there is nothing for a parent or guardian to request access to or deletion of. If you believe a child has somehow provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Privacy laws including the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, delete and port your personal data, and to object to its sale. We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete — and we have never sold or shared personal information, because we have never had any. You can erase everything the game has stored by deleting the app from your device.

9. This website
portsidegames.com is a static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no third-party fonts, scripts, pixels or trackers, and loads every image and stylesheet from its own server. Our web host records standard server logs (IP address, page requested, timestamp, browser user agent) for security and reliability; these are not used to profile you and are not shared.
10. Data security
Because the game keeps your data on your own device and transmits nothing, its security rests on your device's own protections — your passcode, Face ID or Touch ID, and iOS file encryption.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a future version of an app ever begins collecting data, we will say so here and in the App Store privacy labels before that version ships. Material changes will be called out plainly rather than buried.
